"WHEN CARES ATTACK...
and life seems black"
P.G. Wodehouse
It is hard to write this but my sweet Patapsco has a huge mass in his abdomen. We couldn’t get him to his regular vet so I took him to one in Chevy Chase who found the mass. The vet said sometimes steroids help to shrink a tumour but pigs don’t do well with them. I talked to Pender Vet and they said they could do emergency surgery but that would be a huge financial strain on me with a high risk and he’s already in serious pain—if I hadn’t been syringe feeding him he’d be dead by now. We are taking him to see Dr. LaPorta Monday if he lives through the weekend and will probably have him euthanized. This is what I had suspected. D says I'm seldom wrong--this time I wish I were.
